In a longstanding collaboration, there is a foundation of mutual trust. This trust is perhaps one of the reasons why we are celebrating our 30th anniversary. Many of our participants have been with us for several years, as have various instructors who have been teaching for many years, some even for more than 15 or 20 years. Over a period of 30 years, we have become an integral part of the Loek Loevendie Ballpark in Amsterdam, with only a break of 3 years. Here, there is also a great deal of trust, both in terms of the use of the facilities and the delicious fresh meals served to the participants.
In addition to this visible support, there are also 'silent' supporters we would like to mention, namely Michel van Koningsbrugge and Marcel Venema, both of whom have been connected to Playball Europe in various ways for 30 years.
About 33 years ago, Michel introduced me to computers at a very young age. To this day, we still have our weekly meetings where, now good friends, we discuss market developments. I just listen because he knows his stuff. Through these conversations, he remains a great support in my business endeavors, and our companies have closely collaborated.
Michel has gained extensive experience in the pharmaceutical sector and, after studying business economics at the UvA, founded a major software company, MK2 Software B.V. MK2 supports various companies, especially large pharmaceutical companies, with tailor-made software programs.
Marcel was one of the first participants of the Playball Academy 30 years ago and had an international career, in his youth period, and later often found in the line-up at Hoofddorp Pioniers in the Dutch Major League. After his Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marcel developed in the aviation industry, but soon wanted to enter the market independently. He started building and developing custom websites and web shops, specializing in digital marketing under the name
V-Web B.V. About 16 years ago, Marcel and I crossed paths again, and to this day, our companies continue to work closely together.
Thanks to our mutual relationship, Michel and Marcel founded a company a few years ago in which some of their activities are incorporated. With their combined strength and knowledge, they operate under the company name QCONTROL B.V.
Their shared hobby? Car racing. For several years now, they have had their racing licenses and regularly drive on circuits including Zandvoort in their 2 Alfa Cars, where they also regularly invite their connections to ride along.
The essence of this column? A longstanding relationship and mutual trust.
Thank you, Michel and Marcel, for developing and providing this website for the 30th anniversary of Playball Europe.
