THE ORANGE OLD STARS vs ROYAL OLD STARS

For over 15 years, former players of the Dutch National Baseball Team have been gathering annually for a special game, honoring events, club anniversaries, or as part of club tournaments. It's always amazing to see these familiar faces shining on the field.
They go by the name "THE OLD STARS".

Due to great enthusiasm, the idea emerged to hold this game during the 2020 Baseball Week Haarlem. Unfortunately, the tournament was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, forcing the old-timers to stow away their spikes.

But in 2022, The Game was On. Two teams were selected
THE ORANGE OLD STARS vs THE ROYAL OLD STARS.

In a packed Pim Mullier stadium, they played it out in front of an ecstatic crowd, preceding the last and Final game. Despite not having seen each other for years, the Old Stars enjoyed playing together again, amidst loud applause from the crowd.

An impressive Line-Up 2022 boasting illustrious names, with Rikkert Faneyte (former MLB Giants) coaching the Orange Old Stars and Good Old Hudson John coaching the Royal Old Stars. View the Old Star 2022 Gallery.

OLD STAR GAME 2024

Also, an agreement has been reached for 2024 with the HWH and KNBSB to organize an Old Star Game during the Baseball Week Haarlem (July 12th to 19th) on the final day, Friday 19th.
Invitations have already been sent out, and we hope to reveal familiar names regularly by mid-May, ultimately presenting two fantastic Old Star teams in July.
"We've got confirmation with two coaches now. The Orange Old Stars are being led by Nol Beenders, and Good Old Hudson John has stepped up again to lead the Royal Old Stars."
